Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Arion ("we", "us", "our") provides a personal wellness tracking app available at arion.health and as native iOS/Android apps. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to create an account. We ask you to confirm your age at signup. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, including your email address. If we discover that an account belongs to someone under the minimum age, we will delete it.

3. Your account

Keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to other users.

4. What Arion does (and does not) do

Arion is a self-tracking and motivation tool. We help you log habits, workouts, sleep, meals, mood, water, and steps, and we surface insights and AI coaching based on what you log. Arion is not a medical device, not a doctor, and not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing your diet, exercise routine, sleep medication, or treatment plan.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Impersonate another person or upload misleading information about someone else.
• Attempt to access another user's account, data, medals, scores, or notifications.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload our infrastructure.
• Upload content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or infringes someone else's rights.
• Use the app to give medical, mental-health, or pharmaceutical advice to other users.

6. Subscriptions and Pro

Some features (AI coach, vanity referral codes, bonus streak freezes) require an Arion Pro subscription. Pricing and billing terms are shown on the subscription screen at the time of purchase. Recurring subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date through the store you bought them on (Apple, Google, or Stripe).

7. Referrals and rewards

Referral rewards and Pro extensions are granted through our backend automatically when both you and the referred user meet the activity criteria. We may revoke rewards we believe were obtained through fraud, automation, or duplicate accounts.

8. AI coach output

Our AI coach generates suggestions using third-party large language models. Output may be incorrect, outdated, or generic. Treat it as informational, not as medical, legal, or professional advice. Don't rely on it for emergencies — call your local emergency number or a qualified healthcare provider instead.

9. Health data and your privacy

Health data is sensitive. We process it under our Privacy Policy. You are in control: you can export or delete your data from Settings at any time.

10. Termination

You can delete your account from Settings at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms. On account deletion we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records longer (e.g. tax invoices for paid subscriptions).

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Arion is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any health outcome influenced by the app's content. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions; in that case the exclusions apply only to the extent permitted.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when we add features or change how the app works. We'll change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, ask you to re-accept inside the app. Continued use after a non-material update means you accept the new Terms.

14. Limitation of liability cap

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arion's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the app is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid Arion in the twelve (12) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

15. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of London, England have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers resident in the EU, UK, or other jurisdictions with mandatory consumer-protection rules retain the right to bring proceedings in their place of residence and to rely on those mandatory local rights.

16. Class-action waiver and arbitration (US users)

If you are a resident of the United States, you and Arion agree that any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, and not in a court of general jurisdiction. You and Arion waive the right to bring or participate in any class, collective, or representative action. You may opt out of this Section 16 by emailing legal@arion.health within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.

For business customers and partners that need a separate Data Processing Addendum (DPA) under GDPR Article 28, see our DPA. The DPA forms part of these Terms when applicable.
